You can seek a license from Kuvasto, when you want to use an image of an artwork for example in a publication, at a website or in your marketing material.

You always need a license to use the work when the artist’s copyright is valid and none of the copyright law limitations apply to the use.

You can apply for an image license at our online service. N.B. the service is available only in Finnish and Swedish at the moment.

You will get a confirmation message in your mailbox after having sent your license application. We will send you the invoice for the license in approximately a week after receiving your application. The license is valid after the invoice has been paid.

Please notice that in the case of photos taken of the artwork, you need a permission both from the artist and the photographer.
