As a visual artist, you have the right to a remuneration when your work is exhibited in public.

This remuneration is called exhibition remuneration. Whether it’s about a traditional art exhibition, a festival or an outdoor exhibition, the exhibition remuneration guarantees that the value of your work will be recognized.

You are entitled to an exhibition remuneration if the work is in your possession and is displayed for example at an exhibition organized by a representative of the Finnish state or a municipality, or at an exhibition with an entrance fee. We take care of collecting the remuneration on your behalf. You only have to make sure that the exhibition organizer is informed about your being a customer of Kuvasto. The exhibition organizer is always responsible for reporting the exhibition to Kuvasto.

Please remember that we collect the exhibition remuneration also from exhibitions organized in cooperation between the state, municipalities or museums and artists’ organizations.
